Experience speaking; it doesn't seem to be easy for any one of us, especially not the ones who were more "righteous", so to say. The first two years following were the hardest ordeal in my life, and not so much because of temporarily tensed family relations, but my having to relearn practically everything about myself and others as human beings. I think I can safely say I've hit my rock bottom and climbed back up.

That being said, the best advice I can give to you is "assume good faith". Most of the time when people say something, they really don't mean anything more than what they're saying. I've made a fool out of myself, hurt myself and others around me just on the basis of whatever conclusions I could make of my limited information. It took me over half a decade to realize that there doesn't need to be any extra "levels" in a conversation.

Most men you meet in your life will have no hidden motives towards you. If someone seems like a genuinely nice and caring person, he most likely is one too. The fact that sexual thought passes someones mind doesn't even mean they're relentlessly trying to get in bed with you. It's a natural thing to consider. What I hear from many of the guys I've talked with, half of them don't even think about it.Dandybothttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01196019892489434526noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3902252566256208652.post-75164226811684298652013-11-25T00:28:56.168-08:002013-11-25T00:28:56.168-08:00Rabbit hole is deep indeed.Rabbit hole is deep indeed.Antti Ateistihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12819075753925805789noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3902252566256208652.post-60283355536509002052013-11-23T21:33:01.277-08:002013-11-23T21:33:01.277-08:00"In my mind he was just playing nice in hopes..."In my mind he was just playing nice in hopes that I would have sex him after I get better"

Haven't you ever seen this the other way around? I have seen many non-Mormons act suspiciously around friendly Mormons, thinking they were only being friendly so they could convert them. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
